Hello, everybody! I hope you're well!
In these difficult times, arts & crafts have been a refuge, allowing me to tune out the situation for a while and have some leisure time.
I've been learning and trying new techniques, and today I came to share with you this piece on canvas (20x30 cm size), inspired by the challenge proposed by the
Academy of Scrapok and Arts for the month of April. For inspiration, the challenge brought the following moodboard, made availible by the academy:

It's the first time I take part on this kind of challenge and also the first time I work with canvas. It was very challenging, because with the 20x30 cm size the canvas is a little bigger than the surfaces I'm used to work upon. Besides, I tried my best to follow the moodboard, using the indicated colors and the flowers motif, inspiring myself with the spring theme.
The mix between the moodboard, with such a flowery and positive feel to it, along with the hard situation with have been going through, made me get inspired ny the idea of hope that spring brings.
The blooming of nature, reminding us that after the cold winter the sun shines strongly again and life is reborn, beautiful and fierce. It's a way for nature to tell us that even the hard moments will pass. That's way the message I wanted to put on this piece was for us to have hope and protect life, staying home and safe.
The title of project it's Blooming Hope. I hope you like it :)

Let's see some detais of the canvas:
On this project I've used modeling dough, gesso, bitumen and acrylic paints. I also used Silverbright patina, with which I'm in love!
The roses were made with scrap, with the help of puncher and hot glue. The butterflies were made with a silicon mold and hot glue. The moth I've cut using a Sizzix knife. The other flowers and the bird were made with Silhouette. I also used lace, string of pearls, blue embelishments and kraft paper.
